What is being asked of me?
This assignment requires you to design and write up an
APA style research proposal paper. This paper should include all standard
sections of an APA paper — abstract, introduction which includes review of the
relevant body of literature on your selected topic, methods, plan of analysis,
discussion, and references. You must write a 15-page APA-style paper (15 pages
of writing, not including title page or references). Each student must develop
an individual topic and write a paper individually (i.e., it cannot be a group
paper or shared idea).
What are the requirements of the research proposal
paper?
Although you will not be obligated to carry
out the study or collect data, the paper must include ALL sections of a
standard APA paper & be written using APA format with the following
sections included:
Title page
Abstract
Introduction
(includes hypothesis & literature review)
Methods
(includes proposed participants, materials, procedures)
Plan of
Analysis (include at least 2 independent/predictor variables and at least one
dependent variable)
Discussion
(includes probable issues with study & further investigations)
References
page
Your research proposal MUST be a minimum of 15
typed pages (not including title/cover page or references!)
using APA format.
You must use peer-reviewed journal articles; a
minimum of 15-20 references must be used.
